Leftists are annoyed that Obama is getting flak over the BP Spill when everyone knows that it's Bush's fault.
When Obama said he could make the oceans recede, leftists believed him. Can't we at least expect him to be able to take care of a little oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico?

2) When Obama (as opposed to Republicans) received significant campaign contributions from the oil industry.
3) When Obama and his family (as opposed to the Bush family) had decades-long ties to the oil industry.
The regulatory foobar that allowed the BP disaster took many years to rise to its current level of dysfunction. Blaming a non-oilman, from a party with no ties to big oil, who has only been president for a year and a half, over an oilman, from a party with strong ties to big oil, who was president for the 8 years prior, is ... well ... "delusional".
