I have concluded that leftists do not apprehend reality as it is, but, rather, as they wish it were. In their vision, all people are nice (unless right-wing), all cultures equal, and sex is a fun sport that really ought to be entirely without consequences of any kind. There is no God, but, if there is, that's great too, because that means we all go to heaven when we die. Hell is reserved exclusively for right-wingers, as in "you moralistic, uptight Republican haters, burn in hell!".
It's the best of all possible worlds.
